Exploratory Project more painting sessions

After painting Emma I did like the brown I used and therefore attempted to paint myself in it, and this time I did not involve Emma as she was busy she I had to attempt it all, I used the mirror alot because it helps me to see what I am doing when taking the images.

Using the mirror was great and it allowed more freedom in a way and because I was on my own was an aide I swapped between to mirrors to get different viewpoints.

A friend of mine has seen these images and he has suggested that one of the questions I should ask are are these images too safe? He felt that I am too comfortable, because looking at the Franko B investigations he said that what he liked and what gave these images abit of grit was the fact that I was extremely uncomfortable and very embarrassed and those were not photographs as any form of art but as a process and are pretty raw emotionally.
He feels that these photographs are too safe and comfortable and these is no edge to them, my house is my refuge it is warm and dry and there is no risk of any one seeing me. The is reflected in the photographs taken. So I do need to add this comment to the other students and get their opinion.
